1. Solunar Activity Forecaster
SpotLocker's internal astronomical engine ([`solunar_weather_service.dart`](file:///d:/prfndr/spotlocker/flutter_app/lib/services/solunar_weather_service.dart)) calculates solar and lunar positioning for any GPS coordinate on earth.
Major Feeding Windows
2-hour peak feeding windows occurring when the moon is directly overhead or directly underfoot (lunar transit).
Minor Feeding Windows
1-hour secondary activity periods occurring during moonrise and moonset.
Daily Activity Rating
Composite 1 to 5 star rating factoring in lunar illumination percentage and solar alignment.
2. NOAA Marine Weather & USGS Water Levels
To ensure trip safety and pattern accuracy, SpotLocker integrates live government data feeds:
- NOAA Marine Forecast ([`noaa_weather_service.dart`](file:///d:/prfndr/spotlocker/flutter_app/lib/services/noaa_weather_service.dart)): Real-time wind speed & direction, barometric pressure trend (rising/falling indicator), ambient temperature, and wave height advisory alerts.
- USGS Water Level & Flow Rate ([`water_level_service.dart`](file:///d:/prfndr/spotlocker/flutter_app/lib/services/water_level_service.dart)): Gauge height in feet above mean sea level and dam outflow discharge in cubic feet per second (CFS).
3. Smart Catch Logger & Personal Best Tracker
Log catches instantly while on the water ([`catch_log_service.dart`](file:///d:/prfndr/spotlocker/flutter_app/lib/services/catch_log_service.dart)). Each catch record auto-stamps:
- Exact GPS position & waypoint proximity
- Catch photo, weight (lbs/oz), and length (inches)
- Lure/Bait type, color, and retrieval technique
- Water temperature and barometric pressure at time of catch
- Personal Best (PB) badge evaluation
4. Tournament Livewell Management & Recirculation Timer
For tournament anglers, keeping fish healthy and monitoring bag weight is critical. SpotLocker includes a dedicated tournament livewell manager ([`livewell_service.dart`](file:///d:/prfndr/spotlocker/flutter_app/lib/services/livewell_service.dart)).
- Cull Board: Auto-calculates your current 5-fish bag weight and identifies your smallest fish for culling when a larger catch is logged.
- Aeration Recirculation Timer: Visual countdown timer and sound alert reminding anglers to toggle livewell pumps (e.g., 3-minute interval cycles).
- Water Temperature Monitor: Temperature threshold alerts warning when livewell water exceeds safe oxygen-holding limits (e.g., above 75°F).
